Lahore: Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team Honored with 1.5 Million Rupees for Consecutive Asia Cup Triumph
To celebrate this achievement, Chairman Naqvi invited the team members to the PCB Headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium, where he congratulated them on their success. He praised the team’s efforts and expressed his best wishes for their continued success, assuring the PCB’s support for the Wheelchair Cricket Team’s future endeavors.
The Wheelchair Cricket Team members expressed their gratitude to the PCB for their support and encouragement. Present at the occasion were Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput, team captain Mohammad Zeeshan, vice-captain Imran Arain, batter Syed Arsalan Ahmed, wicketkeeper-batter Muazzam Nawaz, and bowler Mohammad Fayyaz.
Also in attendance were PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, Director of Domestic Cricket Operations Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Senior General Manager of Domestic Cricket Junaid Zia, and other PCB officials.
It is noteworthy that this is the second time the Wheelchair cricketers have been recognized by the PCB for their achievement. Former Chairman Zaka Ashraf had previously awarded them a cash prize of 3.6 million rupees for the same feat in December last year.
