Nadeem Mahbub Inspects Healthcare Services at PIMS

Islamabad: Secretary of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination, Nadeem Mahbub, conducted a surprise visit to the Outpatient Department (OPD) of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Friday to assess healthcare services and administrative arrangements.
During the visit, he reviewed the attendance of doctors and medical staff, stressing that the hospital administration must ensure the availability of healthcare professionals at all times. He reiterated a zero-tolerance policy for negligence and absenteeism, emphasizing that inefficiency would not be tolerated.
Acknowledging the high patient load at PIMS, Nadeem Mahbub urged medical professionals to provide the best possible healthcare services. He assured that, in line with the Prime Minister’s directives, full support is being extended to PIMS to enhance its healthcare services.
The Federal Health Secretary also inspected newly established patient assistance booths and visited the hospital rooftop to evaluate ongoing repair work. He directed the Executive Director of PIMS to expedite repairs and complete the renovation of washrooms promptly.
Expressing satisfaction with the hospital’s cleanliness and maintenance, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to all citizens. He emphasized that significant efforts are underway to upgrade healthcare facilities and improve hospital infrastructure.
