NA-145: Nail-Biting Contest Between PML-N Daha, Hiraj

Khanewal: In NA-145, a tight competition was anticipated among PML-N candidate Muhammad Khan Daha, PPP candidate Rana Abdul Rahman, and independent contenders Abid Mahmood Shah Khaga and Hamid YarHiraj.
A total of 14 candidates from various political parties and independents are actively participating in the upcoming general elections of 2024 in Khanewal.
The political landscape is heating up as the election campaign gains momentum in NA-145, and a closely contested battle is expected.
Reflecting on the constituency’s past records, PML-N candidate Muhammad Khan Daha secured a victory with a lead of 1,529 votes against rival candidate Ahmed Yar Hiraj in the general elections of 2018.
Additionally, Daha emerged victorious in the general elections of 2013, defeating Ahmed Yar Hiraj. However, Hiraj had previously won the constituency in the 2008 elections.
It’s noteworthy that the constituency has a total of 498,098 registered voters, comprising 267,075 males and 232,015 females.
The election arrangements are nearing completion, with 1,085 polling booths set up in the constituency, including 590 for male voters and 495 for female voters. The stage is set for a dynamic electoral process in NA-145, Khanewal.
