Washington: During his official visit to the United States, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Asim Munir, engaged in high-level discussions with leading American think tanks and strategic affairs institutions, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and a rules-based international order, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a series of key engagements, Field Marshal Munir addressed critical regional and global challenges, emphasizing Pakistan’s long-standing role at the forefront of the global fight against terrorism.

He cautioned against the use of terrorism as a tool of hybrid warfare by certain regional actors and reiterated Islamabad’s principled stance on countering extremism.

The COAS offered insights into Pakistan’s security operations, including references to Maarka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, framing them as part of Pakistan’s broader struggle against terrorism. He noted the human and economic sacrifices made by Pakistan to ensure regional and global security.
