MPA Alleges of Writing Child Murder’s Medical Report on Political Pressure

Peshawar: Sobia Shahid, a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member of the Provincial Assembly, accused that political interference had influenced the medical report of an eight-year-old girl from Dir Monda. 

She claimed that the report was altered to favor the suspect and downplay the seriousness of the offenses, which she argued obstructed justice.

During a Calling Attention Notice in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Shahid alleged that the girl’s body was deliberately concealed for four days and that CCTV footage was deleted, raising suspicions about the case.

In response, Law Minister Aftab Alam stated that an inquiry had been conducted, forensic samples had been sent to a laboratory, a postmortem had been performed, and three suspects had been named in the First Information Report (FIR).
