Mountain & Snow Tourism Draws Winter Tourists to Northern Areas
Islamabad: The picturesque valleys of Swat, Malam Jabba, Kalam, Dir, Kumrat, Kaghan, Naran Babusar top, and Murree has changed into a white wonderland with the arrival of snowy weather, providing tourists with numerous opportunities for adventure and turning into a point of attraction for the tourists.
“White snow covered the frigid winter in the north of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s sky-touching mountains, especially in the Swat valley with its numerous tourist attractions,” said a report aired by state-run media.
Similarly in the Hazara Division, at least three inches of snow was recorded in the hill station of Naran. Rain and snow have fallen in Mansehra and Ayubia in the meantime.
“The Swat Valley is completely covered in white snow and that it is the most stunning sight we have seen in a while,” said a tourist.
According to a resident of Malam Jabba, the white blanket of snow has captured and entranced people from all across the nation.
A foreign visitor commended Swat’s natural beauty and stated the people’ kindness in this lovely valley was motivating for them.
Visitors to Malam Jabba marvelled at how the country’s hill station, with the beginning of a snowy season, presented a breathtaking view with its truly magical and unmatched beauty.
The local administration of these places also gave tourists the advice to come prepared, with the appropriate footwear and clothing, if they intended to visit the valley during the winter.
“The valley in Murree offers a range of sports, including riding the chairlift, making it the greatest vacation spot in the winter,” stated a tourist.
Another traveller compared Malam Jabba to Switzerland since it provided outdoor adventurers and nature enthusiasts with endless entertainment.
Due to sporadic snowfall, the temperature fell below zero on Kaghan, Naran and Babusar peaks.
The administration said, “Up to three inches of snow has already fallen in the Babusar Top region and that rescue teams have been sent there to assist tourists who have become stranded with their vehicles.”
According to locals, “as soon as snow started falling, practically all of the small and large hotels were booked, and Mall Road was overrun with tourists.”
They added that while walking through the Mall and in shopping malls, tourists could be seen sipping hot coffee, tea and eating fried food. APP
