Mansehra: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed between Hazara University Mansehra and Social Empowerment through Education and Knowledge (SEEK) which will provide opportunities for students to gain professional training in the field of media, and to obtain internships and employment in various media organisations.
Under the MoU, SEEK will take steps to enhance the capacity of students studying in the Department of Communication and Media Studies and other departments of social sciences at Hazara University and provide them with professional training in the field of media. Selected students will also be provided training in project management, grant writing and graphic design technology used in the media industry.
Vice Chancellor Professor Mohsin Nawaz expressed hope that this MoU will not only create new opportunities for training for university students who aspire to join the media industry but will also enable joint efforts to address the problems of Hazara Division.
SEEK is a non-profit organisation working in the social sector that will provide assistance to Hazara University graduates who have completed their education in social sciences in obtaining internships, fellowships and employment in various media organisations.
Both organisations will also develop a joint action plan to promote linkages with various national and international organisations and to obtain opportunities for students.
