Most Affordable Foldable Smartphone on the Market

Islamabad: Zhong Xing Telecommunication Equipment Company Limited (ZTE), a Chinese smartphone company, has introduced what could be considered the most affordable foldable phone on the market.
Typically, foldable phones come with a hefty price tag, ranging from around PKR 250,000 to 350,000.
However, ZTE has disrupted this trend by announcing a significantly cheaper option, with further discounts available for online purchases ahead of the sale in Japan.
The company revealed the ‘ZTE Libero Flip,’ featuring a 6-7-inch screen and running on the Android 13 operating system. It boasts 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
The device sports two rear cameras, with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie camera with a hole punch design.
In terms of battery and charging, the ZTE Libero Flip is powered by a 4300mAh battery and supports fast charging up to 33W. It also includes security features such as a fingerprint sensor. The initial price set by the company is Rs 117,000, but it is expected to drop further as it becomes available in different markets.
The ZTE Libero Flip is scheduled to launch in various countries, including Pakistan, where it is anticipated to be priced at around Rs 100,000. This competitive pricing strategy could make foldable smartphones more accessible to a wider range of consumers.
