Mohsin Naqvi’s Five Initiatives for Islamabad’s Residents

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, during his recent visit to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters, unveiled five new initiatives aimed at enhancing services for Islamabad residents.
These initiatives include:
- The launch of Capital Emergency Services,
- The establishment of a Capital Waste Management Company
- The creation of the Capital Safe City Authority
- The development of the Central Business District (CBD) in Islamabad
- The establishment of Capital WASA for improved citizen convenience
Naqvi tasked Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa with expediting these projects, expressing his vision to transform Islamabad into a model city. During his visit, he met with Ambulance 1122 and Fire Brigade staff, urging them to diligently perform their duties.
He instructed for the integration of Ambulance, Fire Brigade, and Water Rescue Services under Capital Emergency Services for streamlined emergency response.
A unified emergency control room will be established in CDA for real-time vehicle tracking via GPS, facilitating citizens in need.
Naqvi emphasized the importance of staff training and proposed the establishment of new emergency services stations across the city. Additionally, he stressed the merit-based filling of vacant positions within the CDA and suggested increasing the number of ambulances in Islamabad.
The event was attended by Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Mohammad Ali Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon, and other officials from emergency services.
