Modi Extends Congratulations to Shehbaz on Becoming PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India extended his congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on his inauguration as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

“Congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the role of Prime Minister of Pakistan,” Modi expressed on his social media platform.

Shehbaz was sworn in on Monday following his victory in the prime ministerial election.

This marks his second term in Pakistan’s highest office, having previously been elected as prime minister in April 2022 through a vote of no confidence in the National Assembly, which led to the removal of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
