Missing Senior Citizen Reunited with Family in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Police on Friday traced a missing elderly woman and safely reunited her with her family after a swift search operation in the city.
According to a police spokesman, Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, City Police Officer (CPO), took immediate notice of the case and directed officials to ensure the woman was located without delay. Following the report of her disappearance, a case was promptly registered and an investigation launched.

The search operation utilised wireless control alerts, Safe City surveillance cameras, modern tracking technology and human intelligence to trace her whereabouts, the spokesman said.
Superintendent of Police (Rawal Division) Saad Arshad personally supervised the efforts, which led to the safe recovery of the woman and her return home.
The family expressed gratitude to the police, noting that the woman suffers from mental health issues and had previously gone missing.
“Protecting the lives and property of citizens is our top priority, which we will always ensure,” SP Saad Arshad said.
