Islamabad: Islamabad United head coach Mike Hesson acknowledged that momentum shifts and the absence of key players played a major role in his team’s defeat to Quetta Gladiators.

Addressing a post-match press conference, Hesson revealed that all-rounder Shadab Khan and opener Colin Munro were unavailable for the match, while Dosan and nearly eleven other squad members missed the entire season—an ongoing challenge for the franchise.

“Our performance today wasn’t up to the mark,” he said. “Our bowlers struggled with both line and length, and we gave Quetta’s batters far too much freedom.”

Hesson also lauded Quetta’s batter Rilee Rossouw for his match-winning innings. “Credit must go to Rossouw,” he added. “He kept our bowlers under constant pressure and never allowed them to settle.”
