Mirpurkhas Board in Crisis Due to Absence of Chairman

Mirpurkhas: The impending annual matriculation exams scheduled for next month are at risk due to the absence of the chairman Mirpurkhas Special Education Board.
The board employees have urged Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, to immediately appoint a capable individual as the chairman of the board to address the employees’ grievances and resolve the ongoing issues.
It has come to light that the position of chairman has remained vacant for the past 10 days within the Mirpur Special Education Board.
According to sources, Syed Zulfiqar Shah, the former Chairman of the Mirpurkhas Special Education Board (MSEB), was removed by the Sindh High Court (SHC) 10 days ago due to a deputation issue.
However, no acting chairman has been appointed on his stead.
The absence of an acting chairman has not only disrupted the day-to-day operations of the board but has also led to delays in the results of the first inter-year examinations. Additionally, the payment of employees’ salaries has been stalled for the past 3 months.
Employees of the board have highlighted that the absence of a chairman has deprived them of annual and monthly leave entitlements.
Furthermore, children have been unable to receive their annual education funds, contributing to the halt in examination result processing.
