Sialkot/Hyderabad: Tragic incidents in Sialkot and Hyderabad on Sunday resulted in the death of a minor girl and injuries to several people.

In Sialkot, a 10-year-old girl lost her life while her father and elder sister sustained injuries when a motorcycle rickshaw overturned due to over-speeding near Guna, Badiana, in tehsil Pasrur.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, Tahir was riding the rickshaw with his daughters, Hijab (10) and Fajr (13), when the vehicle lost control in front of Rehmat Marriage Hall.

Hijab succumbed to severe head injuries on the spot, while her father and sister were provided first aid by emergency responders.

Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, a dispute over a wristwatch purchase escalated into a violent clash in Kotri’s Behar Colony, leaving eight people injured, including three with gunshot wounds.

According to police, the altercation began when members of Sattar Khaskheli’s family attempted to return or exchange a watch purchased from Abid Ansari’s shop.

The dispute quickly turned violent, leading to physical fights and gunfire between the two groups.

The injured were shifted to Kotri Taluka Hospital for medical treatment. Following the incident, local traders shut down their shops in protest, accusing the Khaskheli group of vandalizing their businesses.

However, after police intervention and assurances of an impartial investigation, the market was reopened in view of ongoing Eid shopping.

Authorities have launched further investigations into both incidents.
