Islamabad: As the nation prepares to celebrate Eid ul Fitr, meteorologists have issued a weather advisory warning of a significant rise in temperatures, predicting scorching heat and sunny conditions across the country, including major cities like Karachi.
Renowned meteorologist Anjum Nazir Zaigham, in an exclusive conversation with a private news channel, shared insights into the country’s weather forecast. He noted that as March progresses, temperatures are expected to rise further, continuing a trend observed in previous years.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), temperatures are forecasted to reach 37°C to 38°C, signaling the onset of an intense heatwave. Zaigham urged citizens to take necessary precautions to cope with the rising heat.
Regarding the Eid celebrations, he cautioned that Karachi will likely experience extremely hot and dry weather, making the festive period particularly challenging for residents. While some cities may witness light rainfall on Eid, it is unlikely to provide much relief from the sweltering heat.
Overall, Pakistanis should brace for a hot and sunny Eid ul Fitr, with high temperatures prevailing across the country.
