Margalla Hills Trails Shut as ICT Warns of Heavy Rains

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has announced the closure of several hiking trails in the Margalla Hills on August 24, following warnings of very heavy rainfall over the next 72 hours.

According to Notification No. 1(20)-HC(G)/2025, issued by the Additional District Magistrate on Saturday, Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the trail behind Saidpur Village will remain closed for hikers and visitors.

The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety, with authorities urging citizens to avoid visiting the hills during the forecasted spell of intense rain.
