According to the police sources, The accused Zahid Khan resident of Dhok Hassu Rawalpindi, who was facing charges under Section 302, had been transferred from Abbottabad to Havelian for a scheduled court appearance, the suspect managed to escape after committing the murder, raising serious questions about the security protocols in place.

Following the shooting, both the deceased and the critically injured were shifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.
