DI Khan: A 55-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by his son following a domestic dispute in the limits of Shaheed Nawab Khan Police Station, police said on Friday.

The incident occurred in Wanda Umar Khan, where an argument reportedly erupted over money. According to initial reports, the father had refused to give cash to his son and scolded him, triggering a heated exchange.

In a fit of anger, the accused, identified as Gul Saleem Marwat, allegedly opened fire on his father, Shafiullah Marwat, inside their home. The victim sustained critical injuries and was being shifted to hospital when he succumbed to his wounds on the way.

Police registered a case against the accused on the complaint of the deceased’s wife and have launched further investigation into the matter.

Man, son arrested for injuring brother over property dispute

Rawalpindi Police on Friday arrested a man and his son for allegedly assaulting his brother and injuring him over a property dispute a few days ago.

According to a police spokesman, the victim’s wife lodged a complaint stating that the suspects forcibly entered their house and attacked her husband, causing injuries.

The complainant mentioned in the first information report that the families had an ongoing property dispute with the accused.

Superintendent of Police Rawal Saad Arshad said the suspects would be presented before the court with solid evidence to ensure due legal action and punishment.
