Man Kills Brother, Son in Rawat; Suspect Arrested

Rawalpindi: A man allegedly shot dead his brother and son on Wednesday within the jurisdiction of Rawat Police Station.
According to a spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police, the suspect was arrested shortly after the incident. City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani took notice and directed Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Muhammad Nabeel Khokhar to submit a report.
Police teams collected evidence from the crime scene and shifted the bodies to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
CPO Hamdani instructed the investigating officers to complete the probe without delay and ensure all legal requirements are fulfilled so that the accused faces exemplary punishment.
The motive behind the double murder is yet to be determined, the spokesperson added.
11 Injured in Road Accident Near Rawalpindi
Meanwhile, at least eleven people were injured in a road accident near Jatha Hathial area of Rawalpindi on Wednesday, rescue sources said.
According to initial reports, a rashly driven passenger van collided with a tractor-trolley passing through the area. As a result, eleven passengers sustained injuries.
Rescue teams reached the site shortly after the incident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
