Man Killed Over Enmity, Three Others Perish in Accident

Faisalabad: A youth was shot dead over an old enmity and three other persons killed in a road accident in separate incidents in Faisalabad during the last 24 hours. 

In the first incident, a youth was fatally shot over an old enmity in the Chak Jhumra area. According to local police, 32-year-old Zaheer Abbas, a resident of Chak No. 141-RB, had an ongoing rivalry with a man named Yasin and others from the same locality.

Yasin and his accomplices allegedly entered Zaheer Abbas’s home and shot him dead on the spot. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it to the mortuary for a postmortem examination. An investigation is underway to apprehend the suspects.

In a tragic road traffic accident near Chak Jhumra police station, three individuals lost their lives. According to a Rescue 1122 spokesman, a speeding dumper truck collided with a car and overturned on top of it near Sadaqat Textile Mills on Khurarianwala-Jundwali Road late Tuesday night. The collision resulted in the deaths of two car occupants: Noman Maqbool (48), a resident of Islamabad, and an unidentified man (35), who were killed instantly.

Another victim, Yasir Shahzad (39) from Tehsil Fateh Jang, Attock, was transported to Allied Hospital by Rescue 1122 but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical treatment. The police have taken custody of the bodies and transferred them to the mortuary for postmortem examinations. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
