Man Discovers Dice Lodged in Nasal Cavity for 20 Years

Islamabad: A 23-year-old man in northern China, Xiaoma, recently uncovered an astonishing mystery behind his long-standing nasal problems he had unknowingly had a dice lodged in his nasal cavity for over two decades.
The dice had caused persistent sneezing and a runny nose, but Xiaoma only sought medical attention after a month of worsening symptoms.
Xiaoma, who had suffered from chronic nasal discomfort, turned to Xian Gaoxin Hospital after traditional Chinese treatments failed to provide relief. Initially diagnosed with allergic rhinitis, further investigation revealed a surprising cause for his ongoing symptoms.
Dr. Yang Rong, an otolaryngologist at the hospital, explained, “During the nasal endoscopy, we found a foreign object coated in secretions, which turned out to be a dice about two centimeters in size.
It had been partially corroded from being lodged in his nasal passage for so long.” The dice, located in the lower nasal cavity, had caused damage to the nasal mucosa.
The object is believed to have entered Xiaoma’s nose when he was just three or four years old, and it remained undetected for over 20 years. After a successful surgery, the dice was removed, and Xiaoma’s health has since improved.
The unusual discovery left Xiaoma in disbelief and captured the attention of the online community in China, where it has become a topic of fascination and amusement. The case highlights the surprising and sometimes hidden causes behind chronic health issues, even those that persist over many years.
