Man Committed Suicide, Another Shot Dead

Sargodha: A man allegedly committed suicide, and another was shot dead over a minor dispute in separate incidents in Sargodha within the last 24 hours, police sources said on Friday.
In the first incident, a 33-year-old man named Amjad, a resident of Maqam-e-Hayat, reportedly took his own life by consuming poisonous tablets. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the City Area police station.
According to a police spokesperson, Amjad, who worked in a jewelry market, allegedly committed suicide after receiving an unaffordable electricity bill.
Rescue 1122 and police teams arrived at the scene and transferred the body to Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital, Sargodha, for legal formalities.
In the second incident, a man was allegedly killed by his relative during a wedding celebration in the jurisdiction of Quaid Abad police station.
Police sources reported that 33-year-old Nasir Ameer was participating in aerial firing at the wedding of Shahzad in Quaid Abad when another relative, Irfan, intervened and asked him to stop.
A brawl ensued over the issue, during which Irfan, in a fit of rage, opened fire and killed Nasir Ameer. The police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
