Man Charged For Torturing Step Daughter

Rawalpindi: The Race Course police have detained a guy for allegedly torturing his stepdaughter inhumanely in the Race Course area of Rawalpindi, according to a police spokesman.

The Race Course police took immediate action after the neighbourhood police were contacted, opened an investigation and detained Khawar– the affected girl’s stepfather.

City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani has taken action and asked the Superintendent of Police (SP) to provide a report of the Potohar incident in response to the social media complaint of violence against the girl. The CPO stated that it was unacceptable to harm children and that those responsible would be brought to justice.

The same cops claimed to have detained 23 professional panhandlers in the course of the operation. The police official said that the beggars were kept in various parts of the city.
