Man Arrested for Torturing Sister

Attock: Attock Police arrested multiple suspects in separate incidents, including a man for brutally torturing his sister, gamblers involved in cockfighting, and a murder suspect who fled after shooting his friend.
In the Shahan Chowk area of Sheenbagh, police apprehended a man for subjecting his sister to severe torture and life-threatening abuse.
According to the victim’s statement, she was attacked by her brother, Shan Abbas, after returning from her uncle’s house. The police have registered a case and launched a thorough investigation.
Murder Suspect Nabbed in Hassanabdal Shooting
Police also arrested a murder suspect involved in the killing of his friend over a monetary dispute in Hassanabdal. According to police sources, Muhammad Ehsan, a fish farmer from Sargodha, had supplied fish on credit to his friend, Muhammad Ajmal Habib, a fish merchant in Hassanabdal.
When Ehsan demanded payment on January 13, an argument ensued, during which Ajmal allegedly shot Ehsan in a fit of rage and fled the scene. A case was registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and police launched a manhunt.
After an extensive search, law enforcement tracked down the suspect to his hideout in Mianwali and took him into custody, successfully concluding the investigation.
Cockfighting Gamblers Busted in Police Raid
In a separate incident, Attock Police arrested eight gamblers caught betting on cockfights within the Bassal police station limits. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the location, seizing gambling paraphernalia, including cocks, bet money, and additional birds. The suspects have been booked under the Gambling Act, and further investigation is underway.
