Man Arrested for Strangling Wife After Domestic Dispute

Multan: Police have arrested a man within 24 hours for allegedly strangling his wife following a domestic dispute in the Sital Mari area.
According to police, the incident occurred in Old Bakkar Mandi, where a case was registered under FIR No. 4038/25. The accused, identified as Madni, was arrested from Shah Pur Lamaan under the jurisdiction of Sadar Jalalpur police station.
Initial investigations revealed that the couple had been married for 15 to 16 years. The dispute reportedly stemmed from the husband’s suspicions regarding his wife’s character.
Police said evidence was collected from the crime scene, and further investigation is underway.
Two Arrested for House Trespassing and Firing
Civil Lines police arrested two suspects, Ghulam Haidar and Shehzad Haidar, on charges of house trespassing, assault, aerial firing and issuing threats.
A police spokesperson said the accused, bearing a previous grudge, forcibly entered the house of Shahid Pasha in Islam Nagar, assaulted family members, opened aerial fire and threatened them with dire consequences, creating panic in the area.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, Civil Lines police conducted a targeted operation and apprehended both suspects. Further investigation is in progress.
65 criminals arrested
The police arrested 65 criminals involved in serious crimes during 24 hours in a
crackdown in Faisalabad.
Police Spokesman Tariq Jatt said that the police arrested 21 drug peddlers and recovered 5.725 kilograms (kg) hashish, 1.4 kg heroin, 1.04 kg ice drug, 11 kg bhang, 45 liters liquor (pounda) and 446 liters alcohol.
He said that police also arrested six accused involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered arms from them.
Similarly, 14 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes were also apprehended while 18 court absconders were also arrested during the ongoing operations.
Two injured in roof collapse
Two laborers were injured due to roof collapse in the area of Thikriwala police station.
Rescue 1122 spokesman said that roof of an under construction house caved in on
Jhang Road in Chak No.66-JB Dhandra.
As a result, Faheem Younus,30, and Naveed Abdul Sattar, 32, received serious injuries
and Rescue 1122 shifted them to a hospital after providing them first aid, he added.
