Major Reshuffle as Punjab Transfers 12 Jail Superintendents

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Prisons Department has ordered a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and posting 12 officers in a bid to enhance efficiency and strengthen prison management across the province.

According to an official notification issued on Thursday, the transfers include routine administrative adjustments as well as changes involving greater responsibilities. As part of the reshuffle, Sajid Baig has been appointed Superintendent of Central Jail Rawalpindi, while Haq Nawaz has taken charge as Superintendent of District Jail Attock.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Ashfaq Ahmed Gill has been placed under suspension and directed to report to the Inspectorate of Prisons Punjab.

Other key appointments include Abdul Ghafoor Anjum as Superintendent of Central Jail Faisalabad and Taipu Sultan as Superintendent of District Jail Mandi Bahauddin. Sohail Nabi Gill has been posted as Superintendent of District Jail Lodhran, while Aftab Ahmed has been transferred to District Jail Vehari.

Imran Naveed Ashraf has been appointed Additional Superintendent of Central Jail Gujranwala. Ghulam Mohiuddin has been posted as Superintendent of Sub-Jail Shujabad, and Saqib Ilahi has been named Deputy Superintendent (Development) at Central Jail Faisalabad.

In further postings, Yasser Hassan will serve as Deputy Superintendent (Executive) at District Jail Toba Tek Singh, while Mushtaq Ahmed has been appointed Deputy Superintendent (Judicial) at District Jail Faisalabad.

The Punjab Prisons Department said the reshuffle was aimed at improving overall performance, ensuring better oversight, and streamlining operations in jails across the province.
