Major Narcotic Drug Bust in Rawalpindi Pharmacy

Rawalpindi: To ensure the provision of registered drugs for the safety of public health, the Drug Control Authority of Rawalpindi continued to take action on violations of the Narcotic Drugs Act 1976 in various areas of Rawalpindi on Monday.
According to the details, on the instructions of Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Drug Controller Naveed Anwar Chaudhry, and Deputy Drug Controller Munir Ahmed raided the Habib Khattak pharmacy.
They discovered a substantial quantity of unregistered, unwarranted, and narcotic drugs, constituting a violation of the Drugs Act, 1976.
The authority officials have recommended filing an FIR to the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and the secretary of the District Quality Control Board for further proceedings.
