Major Interchanges Aim to Clear Islamabad Gridlock

News Desk

Islamabad: Two significant interchange projects aimed at addressing Islamabad’s chronic traffic issues will break ground on November 5.

The Serena Chowk and F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchanges will feature underpasses, flyovers, and connecting roads to streamline traffic flow for residents of Islamabad and adjoining cities.

Despite earlier timelines of 10 and 12 months, the Serena Chowk and F-8 projects are set for completion in just 3 and 4 months, respectively.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been tasked with expediting the projects, while an alternative traffic plan has been approved. A 24/7 special unit will be deployed to manage traffic during construction.

Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized swift relocation of service lines and improved traffic management at Faizabad Interchange.
