Mahira Khan & Saba Qamar Among Winning Accolades at Indian Film Festival

Islamabad: Top prizes were won by Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar at the Indus Valley International Film Festival in Chandigarh, India, among others.
Mahira Khan, who starred in ‘Humsafar’, won the Best Actress prize for the post-divorce melancholy short ‘Prince Charming’ directed by Sheheryar Munawar.
According to a statement from Khan, “This award is given to all the women who are covertly experiencing post-marital sadness.”
“Despite the fact that such subjects are forbidden in our culture and are seldom discussed, ‘’m happy that this part had an emotional impact on the audience; it will always hold a special place in my heart. I want to express my gratitude to my close buddy Shehryar Munawar for having faith in me.”
The talented performer Saba Qamar won the Best Actress prize for the well-received movie ‘Kamli’. Sarmad Khoosat, a well-known director, also won Best Director for ‘Zindagi Tamasha’. Arif Hassan also won the Best Actor award at the same time for the same movie.
