Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake Shakes Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan: A 5.6-magnitude earthquake rattled Azerbaijan in the early hours of Thursday, originating from the Caspian Sea, as reported by the Azerbaijan Seismological Service Centre.

The seismic event occurred at 8:16 am (0416 GMT), with its epicenter located within the Caspian Sea, at a depth of 68 kilometers (42.3 miles).

The tremor reverberated through the capital, Baku. As of now, there have been no reports of damage or casualties resulting from the earthquake.
