Lux Style Awards 2025 Cancelled Amid Security Concerns

Islamabad: The Lux Style Awards, Pakistan’s most prestigious and long-running awards, were established in 2001 to honor the hardworking artists of the country’s entertainment industry. This year, the 24th edition was scheduled to take place on May 7th in Lahore.
However, it has been officially confirmed by the organizers that the event has been cancelled. The announcement was made on Diva Pakistan’s official Instagram account. The cancellation is due to security concerns, and the organizers expressed their gratitude to the sponsors, supporters, and fans for their assistance during the planning stages of the awards. They also conveyed hope to collaborate again in the future.
Fans of the nominees have expressed disappointment over the decision, criticizing the organizers for what they perceive as unprofessional behavior. Some fans suggested that the event could have been relocated instead of being cancelled, citing security issues. One fan commented, “This is truly unjust to both the fans and the nominees.
If the location is the problem, just change it. Why cancel? Postpone it instead. This is a rude decision, and I expected better.” Another fan added, “Pakistan rarely has award shows, and now even the LSA is cancelled. How will the industry grow if you can’t even organize an award show? This is unfair.” Yet another fan remarked, “They compare themselves to India, but they can’t even manage to hold an award ceremony.”
A disappointed fan wrote, “Fans voted passionately for their favorite actors and were eager to see them receive their awards on stage. This is so disheartening. Why couldn’t you find an alternative? Why cancel the event entirely? It’s completely unfair.”
