LRH Grants Sight to 20 with Free Corneal Surgeries

Peshawar: In a successful series of complimentary cornea surgeries over the past two months, Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) has restored vision for 20 patients.
LRH spokesperson Muhammad Asim reported that the ophthalmology unit conducted free corneal transplants, a procedure that typically costs Rs 200,000 or more.
Dr Fazal Hanan, a Corneal Specialist, along with his team, spearheaded the initiative, performing surgeries on deserving patients, including youth and women from various districts of the province.
He noted that some patients were completely blind, while others had lost their sight due to injuries or eye diseases.
Expressing gratitude to the hospital administration for their support, Dr Hanan emphasized that such cost-free operations would continue to be offered in the future.
