Lobbying for Key Positions Roles Heats Up

Rawalpindi: After the finalization of Asif Ali Zardari for the Presidency and Shahbaz Sharif for the Prime Ministership, lobbying for other constitutional positions has commenced.

Sources indicate that several names are under consideration for key positions:

Senate Chairman: Farooq Naik, Saleem Mandviwala, Sherry Rehman, and Yusuf Geelani

Speaker of the National Assembly: Ayaz Sadiq

Deputy Speaker: Shazia Murri and Nafisa Shah

Senate Leader: Ishaq Dar and Azam Nazir Tarar

Punjab Governor: Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and Nadeem Afzal Chan

Balochistan Chief Minister: Sarfaraz Bugti, Sadiq Imrani, and Sanaullah Zehri

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor: Faisal Karim Kundi

Chief Minister: Shuja Khan

Sindh Governor: Likely to be given to the MQM with Kamran Tesori continuing his work

Speaker of the Punjab Assembly: Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman

Deputy Speaker: Zaheer Chanhar

Regarding Balochistan Chief Minister, the People’s Party has considered Sadiq Imrani, Sanaullah Zehri, and Sarfraz Bugti for the position.

It’s anticipated that PML-N will secure the post of Speaker and Senior Minister, with both parties receiving an equal number of provincial ministries. The announcement for the Balochistan Chief Minister is expected within the next 36 hours.

Sources suggest that Yusuf Raza Gilani is the leading candidate for Senate Chairman. If he assumes this role, he will vacate his seat in the National Assembly, with his son expected to contest the subsequent by-election.
