Lightning Strike Claims Lives in Balochistan

Quetta: At least two people were killed and three injured due to a lightning strike on a nomad’s hut in the Saranan camp on Monday.
In the Saranan area of the Pishin district of Balochistan, there were incidents of lightning strikes at three places late at night.
According to Levies sources, two people were killed and three huts were burnt down due to a lightning strike on the nomads’ hut in Saranan camp.
Sources report that 50 animals have also died due to lightning.
A western system has entered Balochistan from the south and north, with thundershowers and hailstorms occurring over the northern upper regions.
According to PDMA, a new series of rains has started in the coastal and northern upper areas of Balochistan. The Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran border areas have been affected by the western system.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department says that Peshawar recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius, while Kalam recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4, and Chitral recorded a minimum temperature of 1 degree Celsius.
The Meteorological Department expects rains in the upper districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from March 13 onwards.
