Known as a snow leopard, or Prionailurus bengalensis as it is scientifically termed, it is found in the mountains of Central and South Asia and is sometimes known as the King of Mountains. The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List of “Threatened Species” includes it as one of the endangered species. Snow leopards usually live at an altitude of 12,000 to 18,000 feet and walk around an area of 250 kilometers.
The snow leopard was moved from the cage to a veterinary hospital. Following treatment, the cat was moved to the mountainous region Goleenso that she may be returned to its natural habitat. The terrified cat quickly jumped out of the sack and ran for safety through the snow-covered mountains.
