Leave of Senior Doctors Banned at LGH

Lahore: Amiruddin Medical College Principal, Dr Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar, has issued a ban on the leave of senior doctors until further notice to ensure the timely provision of medical services at Lahore General Hospital.

Orders have also been issued to cancel the summer vacations of professors.

A high-level meeting of the Academic Council, chaired by Principal PGMI Dr Al-Fareed Zafar, was held in the committee room with the participation of senior professors and doctors.

During the meeting, Prof Al-Fareed emphasized the importance of providing the best possible treatment to every patient to ensure that those coming to LGH from distant areas do not face any difficulties.

Principal PGMI and MS Dr Faryad Hussain also reviewed the medical facilities available to patients in the outpatient and emergency departments.

According to the hospital administration, more than 3,500 patients visited the emergency and OPD on Monday, undergoing medical examinations and diagnostic tests.

Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar expressed his commitment to aligning with the patient-friendly vision of the Punjab government, stating that all resources are being utilized to keep the hospital’s departments running smoothly and to provide all possible treatment facilities free of charge to patients.
