The delegation, including Tariq Fazal Chudhary, Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, and Anjum Aqeel, emphasized the need for new bus routes to cater to residents’ transportation needs.

Randhawa assured that the existing routes would be reviewed, and new routes would be added accordingly. He highlighted the importance of regular meetings to address the challenges faced by Islamabad’s residents.

Randhawa also stressed that the involvement of parliamentarians in key initiatives was crucial for the city’s development. The parliamentarians expressed their full support for the CDA’s efforts in the city’s beautification and development and offered suggestions to resolve challenges effectively.

Progress on the Rural Development Package was reviewed, and Chairman CDA assured that financial hurdles affecting project progress would be resolved. The development of green belts along the Islamabad Expressway was also discussed, along with plans for playgrounds through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The delegation was briefed on the recently launched digital parking system in Islamabad and plans to expand it to commercial centers. The revenue generated from digital parking will be used for local area improvements.

The meeting also addressed sewage issues, land requirements for new graveyards, and revisions to Islamabad’s master plan, focusing on zoning and building regulations. Follow-up meetings will be held fortnightly to monitor progress and resolve the highlighted issues.
