Lane Violations in Fog Can Turn Deadly: Motorway Police

Islamabad: The Motorway Police spokesperson Monday advised motorists to avoid unnecessary travel during fog, warned that lane violations in low-visibility conditions can lead to serious accidents and urged drivers to use their lights properly.

In a special message issued across all media channels, the spokesperson of the Motorway Police said that motorways have been closed at several locations after dense fog blanketed various cities, reducing visibility to dangerously low levels for motorists.

Commuters have been advised to travel during daylight hours, with authorities recommending 10 am to 6 pm as the safest window for journeys in foggy conditions.

Spokesperson for the Motorway Police instructed drivers to use fog lights, avoid speeding, and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead to reduce the risk of accidents.
