Islamabad: Preparations are underway for artificial rain in Lahore to combat rising smog levels.

Sources indicate that, in response to increasing pollution, there is also a proposal to grant holidays to schoolchildren.

The initiative for artificial rain is expected to cost approximately Rs 35 crore, as reported by the Ministry of Finance.

The Department of Meteorology and Environment will play a crucial role in facilitating the artificial rain process.

It’s worth noting that artificial rain was previously tested in Lahore during the caretaker government last year.
