Islamabad: Lahore, Karachi, and Multan earned victories in the fourth-round matches of the National Women’s T20 Tournament, which saw the action unfold at three venues across two cities.
In Rawalpindi, Lahore extended their undefeated run by securing a six-wicket victory against Quetta at Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, Rawalpindi fell short by 22 runs in their pursuit of 131 against Karachi at Ayub Park Ground.
In Islamabad, Multan demonstrated dominance over Peshawar with a convincing nine-wicket triumph, limiting the opposition to a mere 57 runs in the first innings.
Opting to bat first, Quetta posted 115-7 in 20 overs against Lahore. The opening pair of Fareeha Mahmood and Dua Majid provided a brisk start with a 41-run partnership. Fareeha (15, 16b, 3x4s) was dismissed by left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu in the last over of the powerplay. Jannat Rashid (10, 7b, 2x4s) was caught by Sidra Amin off the bowling of captain Nida Dar.
Nashra continued her impact by disrupting Dua’s stumps, who departed after scoring 34 from 23 balls, including six boundaries. Leg-spinner Ghulam Fatima then claimed the wickets of Subhana Tariq (6, 9b, 1×4) and Saima Malik (1, 4b), further hampering Quetta’s scoring rate.
Khizra Rani managed to score seven runs before being dismissed by Ayesha Zafar, while Khairun Nisa was run out by Sadaf Shams. Tuba Hassan, coming in as the fifth batter, remained unbeaten with a score of 36 runs from as many balls, featuring five boundaries. Fatima and Nashra claimed two wickets each, with Nida and Ayesha each securing a dismissal.

In the early stages, Anam Amin struck a crucial blow by removing Lahore’s opening batter, Sadaf Shams, who departed without scoring. Shortly after, Khairun Nisa dismissed Ayesha Zafar and Kaynat Hafeez, causing Lahore to struggle at 26-3 within the power play.
