Lahore Fort’s ‘History By Night’ Tour Returns with New Attractions

Lahore: The much-anticipated guided tour, ‘History By Night’ at Lahore Fort, is set to resume from October 1, offering an enhanced experience with new attractions and performances.
The tour, a regular weekend activity, is a highlight for Lahore residents and visitors who wish to explore the historic fort at night.
Deputy Director of Tourism, WCLA, Asgar Hussain, stated that the tour had been on hiatus during the summer and the months of Muharram and Safar. “We are relaunching the tour this Saturday, and it will continue until the 2025 tourism season.
This year, we’ve added new activities, including visits to previously unexplored sites like Arz Gah, Deewan-e-Aam, and the Attic Rooms of Sheesh Mahal,” he said.
Key attractions include Roshnai Gate, the Tomb of Allama Iqbal, Badshahi Masjid, Huzoori Bagh, Alamgiri Gate, Picture Wall, Arz Gah, Barood Khana, Deewan-e-Aam, Makatib Khana, Ath Dara, Sheesh Mahal, and the Royal Kitchens.
The tour will also feature more cultural performances, with professional actors enacting historical scenes and a grand Dhol and Dhamal performance to conclude the event.
Tickets for the tour are available online via the WCLA and History By Night websites, as the event now operates solely through online ticketing.
WCLA Director General Kamran Lashari expressed pride in the tour, calling it a self-sustaining model and noting that WCLA is the pioneer of night tourism in Pakistan. “This season, we’re offering even more to showcase,” he said.
