Lahore Experiences Hot, Humid Weather

Lahore: Lahore city experienced hot and humid weather on Sunday, with the MET office predicting similar conditions and chances of scattered rain over the next 24 hours.

Weather experts reported that weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea were penetrating the upper parts of the country and were expected to strengthen from Monday evening or night.

Additionally, a westerly wave was likely to approach the upper parts of the country on Monday evening or night.

They forecasted mainly hot and humid weather for most parts of the country. However, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms were expected at isolated locations in northeast Punjab, the Potohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Rainfall was recorded in several areas across the city.

The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded in Sibbi and Nokkundi, where the mercury reached 47°C. In Lahore, the maximum temperature was 37.0°C, and the minimum was 25.8°C.
