‘Lahor Lahor Aye’: Punjab CM Naqvi Inaugurates ‘Chae Mela’

Lahore: Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, officially kicked off the ‘Chae Mela’ (Tea Festival) as part of the ‘Lahor Lahor Aye’ cultural festival on Thursday.

He paid a visit to the festival’s tea stalls, commending the efforts of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) for organizing the Chai Mela.

The festivities are currently taking place at Jilani Park and Lahore Fort, within the historic walled city of Lahore. This 16-day celebration began on October 28 and is set to continue until November 12.

The ‘Lahor Lahor Aye’ festival aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan, featuring cultural programs such as mini-marathon races, native boat displays, and mushairas (poetry recitals).

The Winter Festival’s programs will be held at various locations, including Race Course Park, Expo, Punjab Institute of Language Art and Culture, Alhamra, Lawrence Garden, and Hazoori Bagh. The festival encompasses diverse business circles, making it a truly inclusive celebration of Lahore’s culture and traditions.
