Kalash Valley: Kalash Valley Development Authority distributed free saplings among the students of Government High School Bron Bomburit to promote greenery in the area.

KVDA Director General, Minhasuddin, graced the occasion as the guest. A brief event was organized at High School Bron where the principal and other experts highlighted the significance and advantages of trees and plants.

In collaboration with a non-governmental organization, the forest department provided 25,000 saplings free of cost to the school.

During the plantation drive, Minhasuddin also distributed 700 fruit trees to locals, emphasizing their importance and the need for careful cultivation.

Minhasuddin pointed out that Chitral, being a dry zone with no monsoon rains, often faces severe losses during floods. He stressed to the schoolchildren and teachers that planting more trees could mitigate flood damage as trees act as natural check dams.

Principal Sanaullah emphasized the importance of educating the younger generation about the benefits of plants for healthier lives.

Project manager Owais Ahmed mentioned distributing over 4,000 free plants in Kalash Valley and educating children about their benefits.

He highlighted that a single plant provides over Rs 70,000 worth of free oxygen annually and emphasized that the growth of these plants could significantly impact the environment, keeping Chitral green and clean.
