Peshawar: A cat and a goat that became stuck in a deep well and cliffs in the Lower Dir and Upper Chitral districts, respectively, were rescued by Rescue 1122 personnel in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to Rescue 1122 sources, the Rescue staff in Dir Lower received a call about a cat that had fallen into a deep hole and had been trapped there for a number of days. The personnel responded quickly to the call and arrived at the scene in the Talash Deri region to begin the rescue effort.

In order to save the cat, one of the officials took the danger of plunging into the well while holding onto a rope. The stunning white cat immediately fled to safety soon after getting out of the well.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a shepherd community from the Astoor area in Upper Chiltral approached rescue personnel regarding the entrapment of a goat in cliffs at a high point of the mountains.

Rescue workers had to hike for more than two and a half hours into the highlands to find the goat, which had been trapped in rocks for the last four days. The goat was freed from its impasse and transported back to its owner’s house, who was incredibly appreciative of the rescue team’s efforts.

It is important to note that Rescue 1122 performs its duties with complete dedication to save imprisoned animals and birds in addition to offering services to people in need of immediate assistance.
