KP Pushes for 300K School Enrollments

Peshawar: The Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa formally launched the second phase of the 2024 school admission campaign on Monday, aiming to enroll 300,000 out-of-school children across the province.

According to Minister for Education Faisal Tarakai, the campaign began simultaneously in all districts and will continue until September 30.

The campaign initially focused on government schools across the province. In the first phase, a record 119,900 children were enrolled, with a target of 300,000 set for the second phase.

The Minister added that the campaign aims to enroll a total of 1.5 million children in government schools. He also noted that currently, 4.5 million children are out of school in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. All District Education Officers in the province have been directed to vigorously pursue the enrollment drive.
