Peshawar: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has recently passed a resolution against the proposed Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
The KP Assembly also passed a series of resolutions, addressing several significant political and legal concerns in the country, including disapproval of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
In a notable move, the assembly has called for the release of the founding chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Additionally, it has voiced strong opposition to a potential ban on the party and has expressed condemnation of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
The resolution also criticizes the appointment of ad-hoc judges to the Supreme Court and the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The assembly has emphasized that any federal government operation conducted without prior consultation with the provincial government would result in the federal government being held accountable for any consequent losses.
The resolution underscores the assembly’s stance that such operations are not an effective solution to the region’s issues.
