Kohat Announces Plans for Anti-Corruption Awareness

Kohat: A meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Akram to review preparations for the upcoming Anti-Corruption Week.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief Muhammad Waqas, Regional Officer Information Irshad Afridi, principals of various colleges, and other concerned officials. Several important decisions were made regarding the observance of the week.
Responsibilities were assigned to all departments and institutions, with instructions to share their proposed programs with the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
A grand seminar will be held at the District Council Hall, where participants from different walks of life will gather to discuss the issue of corruption. Additionally, all departments will display anti-corruption banners at their offices, featuring slogans against this social ill. Educational institutions will also organize special programs on the subject.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Akram emphasized that corruption is a societal scourge, and its eradication is both a religious and national responsibility.
He further directed that a special awareness session on corruption should be held every morning during school assemblies, lasting five minutes. This initiative aims to instill the idea that corruption is a socially detestable act and to encourage the creation of a clean and just society.
