Kiwis Players Who Skipped Pak Tour for IPL Facing Difficulties

Islamabad: The New Zealand [Kiwis] players who skipped the Pakistan tour for the Indian Premier League (IPL) are facing difficulties.

At least nine New Zealand cricketers have contracts in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while four cricketers have got the opportunity to play matches so far.

In IPL a team can include four foreign players in the playing XI for a match, New Zealand players are facing difficulties to be part of the playing XI.

According to New Zealand media, New Zealand cricketers are seen running for water and only practicing.

Kane Williamson has scored 27 runs in two matches but sat out three matches. Fast bowler Trent Boult has taken five wickets in four matches, while Rachin Ravindra has scored 112 runs in 5 matches.

New Zealand’s most expensive player, Daryl Mitchell, has also taken five wickets. A total of 118 runs have been scored in the matches.

Mitchell Santner, Dion Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips, and Matt Henry are yet to play a match in the IPL.
