Islamabad: Today, let’s craft a desi delight for your guests’ feast: ‘Kabab Masala Handi,’ blending hot, spicy spices to serve alongside naan or roti, ensuring a shower of compliments.
Ingredients:
For the kababs:
- 1/2 kg beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 tablespoons coriander
- 2 tablespoons mint
- 3-4 green chilies
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- 1 slice of bread
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon hot spices
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
Method:
In a grinder, combine onions, coriander, mint, green chilies, and garlic. Blend well.
Add a slice of bread, meat, salt, hot spices, and red chili powder. Mix thoroughly.
Shape the mixture into kebabs.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the kebabs until golden brown.
For the curry:
- 3 medium-sized onions
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
Method:
In a separate pan, sauté onions until light brown.
Add cumin, tomato puree, and all other spices. Mix well.
Stir in yogurt and cook for 10 minutes until the oil separates.
Add the fried kebabs to the mixture.
Pour in 1/4 cup of water and simmer on low flame for 15 minutes.
Garnish with coriander and hot spices before serving.
